Marina Kyriakou is an Architect and Urban Planner. She worked in architecture offices in Cyprus between 2015-2019, while being active in citizen initiatives on socio-cultural and environmental issues. In 2019 she got the unofficial title of the Bicycle Mayor of Nicosia after joining the global leaders network of BYCS (NL) promoting the use of bicycles and the human-centered and sustainable development of cities. Marina works at the Department of Climate Change and Environment of the Cyprus Energy Agency, participating and contributing actively to many European and local projects. She is also a board member and project manager of the NGO Urban Gorillas.
