Nadia Lortzie
Nadia Lortzie (Female) holds a degree in Engineering (BSc), faculty of Geo-environment, and a Master of Science (M.Sc.), from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). She also acquired an MBA from the Mediterranean Institute of Management (MIM) and she is a certified Energy Auditor, for Residential Buildings (Category A) and Industrial Buildings (Category B), valid from the Ministry of Industry, Energy, Trade and Tourism of Cyprus. Furthermore, in March 2021, she acquired the Executive Education Certificate from the Leading Digital Innovation Program (Bloomberg Philanthropies New Digital Innovation Initiative) from Harvard Kennedy School.
As the Head of the Smart City Office, of Nicosia Municipality, she is responsible for the Smart City Strategy and Action plan of Nicosia, with a scope to accomplish the digital transformation of the municipality.
Her main responsibilities also include the evaluation of contracts to implement and operate energy, environmental, and ‘’smart city‘’ projects through vertical ICT solutions. She coordinates all services of the Contracting Authority as well as with external bodies (eg telecommunication providers, contractors, government agencies, private companies etc.).
She is in charge of the Command and Control Room of the Smart City Operation Center, uprunning all the smart city vertical solutions platforms.
Moreover, she participates in the staff planning team for the Integrated Urban Development Strategy of the Municipality of Nicosia for the New Programming Period of the European Structural Funds 2014-2020 and 2021-2027 and in various European Projects.
