Penelope with a passion for inclusive and sustainable urban development serves as the General Coordinator for the Limassol Municipality’s participation in the EU Mission: 100 Climate Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030.
She is the founder of ‘the way space begins’, architectural workshop which specializes in designs for the restoration of listed buildings, preserving architectural heritage, and new residential and leisure buildings. Her architectural practice encompasses everything from initial concepts to interior design, including crafting fixed and mobile furniture for her projects. The “way space begins” functions as an urban lab focused on sparking inclusive and public discussions about urban design and sustainable development.
She’s initiated ‘TWSB’, an urban lab focused on sparking inclusive and public discussions about urban design and sustainable development.
Outside of her professional life, Penelope runs Morir Soñando, an open-air artist space situated in an orange grove. This unique endeavour aims to create open-air exhibitions and provide opportunities for locals to engage in agriculture.
Her commitment to sustainability isn’t limited to her career
Penelope authored ‘Karolina eats the seasons,’ a children’s book published initially in Greek in November 2021 and then in English in November 2022, promoting environmental awareness from early stages.
She views life as an ongoing journey of personal growth and maintains her devotion to physical activity, music and art.
