George Isaia
George Isaia was born in 1994 in Nicosia.
He studied at the School of Philosophy of the University of Cyprus and holds a bachelor’s degree in Classical Studies and Philosophy. He continued and completed his postgraduate studies at the School of Social Sciences and Education of the same university, holding a master’s degree in Social and Political Sciences. His main research interests include strengthening institutions, the rule of law, participatory democracy, and active citizenship.
He is a policy and programme officer at the non-governmental organization Oxygen for Democracy, executive officer of Nomoplatform, and a special independent advisor to Zenox Public Affairs. Additionally, he serves as an advisor to the Commissioner of the Citizen on issues of democratic participation and citizenship. He is active in public affairs, youth issues, and is a member of the Reflective Committee (Mirror Committee-MC) MC 9.05 “Governance of Organizations”, which monitors the work of the International Technical Committee ISO TC 309 “Governance of Organizations” under the auspices of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
