Evie Theocharous
Evie is currently a Researcher at the University of Cyprus in the Department of Social and Political Sciences, in Nicosia. Drawing from her professional background, Evie has held positions including the Institute of Studies for Politics and Democracy, Caritas Cyprus, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, the European Parliament in Brussels, and Marcus Evans in Nicosia. Evie is currently pursuing her second master’s degree in Peace, Conflict, and Democracy at the University of Cyprus, having previously obtained a Master of Science in Global Governance and Ethics from University College London (UCL), and a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies and French from the University of Reading. In addition to her academic pursuits, Evie is committed to social and political engagement. She serves as an AHDR Peace Ambassador, a UN Youth Champion for Environment and Peace, and has been appointed as the Cypriot Youth Delegate to the Council of Europe for the term spanning 2022-2023. Furthermore, Evie is a member of the Board of Directors for Cyprus Youth Diplomacy.
