Dr Andreas Marcou (PhD in Law, Queen Mary University;MA (Legal and Political Theory) UCL;LLB (Hons) Queen Mary University) is a Lecturer in Legal Theory at the School of Law of UCLan University (Cyprus). His research interests include republicanism and liberalism, rule of law and law’s authority, theories of democracy and legitimacy at the national and the European level, and the duties and responsibilities of citizens within a liberal democracy. Andreas is the the Project Manager for the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence CRoLEV on the Rule of Law and European Values (2022-25) at UCLan Cyprus and the Editor of the Interdisciplinary Journal of Populism https://lawpop.eu
